About Stonewall Ball Club

Stonewall Ball Club is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a focus on youth baseball,  softball, and football in the Winchester and Frederick County, Virginia area. We offer year-round practices and two seasons of competitive game play for 8U up to 20U.

Our club was founded in May of 2023 after spending one year in a national for-profit program. The decision to start our own program was to re-envision what travel sports is about. For-profit playing platforms often focus on money rather than character development.

We ask that all who become involved with Stonewall Ball Club to leave current perceptions of travel ball at the door.  We find joy in the process, rather than the outcome. With this mentality, every moment becomes a teachable event, regardless of winning or losing. Player progression, both on the field and off the field, is our only measure of success.

In its first season, the Stonewall Tigers baseball and softball teams won multiple championships. In December 2023 it was announced Stonewall Ball Club would expand into youth football by forming the Stonewall Bandits. Together, Tigers Baseball/Softball and Bandits football is taking the Shenandoah Valley by storm!

Mission Statement

The mission of Stonewall Ball Club is to provide a supportive and challenging environment that enables young athletes to develop their skills both on and off the field. We believe that our players can reach their full potential as athletes and individuals through dedication, hard work, and teamwork.

We focus on player development, emphasizing fundamental skills, strategic thinking, and mental toughness. We strive to help our athletes build confidence, resilience, and a love for the game that will serve them well in all areas of their lives.

We are committed to providing a positive and inclusive experience for all our players, regardless of their background or ability level. Our coaches and staff are dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and sportsmanship and helping our athletes develop strong character and leadership skills.

We believe that success is measured not just by wins and losses but by our players' growth and development as athletes and people. We are proud to be a part of their journey and are dedicated to helping them reach their full potential.

Future Goals

Our primary goal is to establish an indoor training facility that will allow us to train and develop our players year-round, regardless of weather conditions. With an indoor facility, we will be able to provide a safe and consistent training environment, allowing our athletes to hone their skills and continue to grow and develop as players.

Our longer-term goals include the acquisition of our own ballfields. Having our own dedicated fields will enable us to offer more games and practices, reduce scheduling conflicts and expenses, and provide our athletes with a home field advantage that will help them to perform at their best.

We recognize that these goals are ambitious, but we are committed to making them a reality with the help and support of our community. We believe that these investments in our program will not only benefit our athletes but will also help to strengthen and enhance our community as a whole.
